How we teach and assess

Curriculum

Udaan follows the CBSE curriculum. Classes VI to VIII study languages, mathematics, science, social science, and computer science, with art, music, and physical education timetabled every week.

Languages

English and Hindi run through all years. Students add a third language, Sanskrit or French, from Class VI.

Senior Secondary streams

  • Science: Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics (PCM) or Biology (PCB), with Computer Science or Physical Education as an elective.
  • Commerce: Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics, with Mathematics or Informatics Practices as an elective.
  • Humanities: History, Political Science, and Geography or Psychology, with Economics as an elective.

Assessment

Middle years use two terms with periodic class tests and project work. Classes IX to XII follow the CBSE scheme of internal assessment and board examination. Parents see a written report at the close of each term.
