About

A CBSE school in Kanpur, run since 2004 on one idea: keep every student rising.

A school built around one idea

Udaan Public School opened in 2004 with three sections and 90 students. The name means flight, and the aim has not changed: help each student reach a little higher every year, whatever their starting point.

Today the school runs Classes VI to XII on a 6-acre campus in Kalyanpur, Kanpur, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is co-educational and secular, open to families of every background.

What we work towards

Strong grounding in language, mathematics, and science; the habit of reading; and a daily place for sport and the arts. We hold sections to 32 students so teaching stays personal, and we measure progress through the year rather than in a single exam.

How the school is run

Udaan is run by the Udaan Education Society, a registered non-profit society. A School Management Committee of parents, teachers, and trustees meets each term to review the school's work and finances.

👨‍💼
From the Chairperson
We started with one building and a plan to grow slowly. Twenty years on, the promise to parents is the same: your child will be known here, and their progress will be watched over by name.
